We have closely identified with Switzerland’s national security stance ever since our agency was first founded, and so have the members of our staff. Because our country maintains what is essentially a citizen’s army, national security is as much the business of individual citizens as it is that of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sports.

As leading political and civil defense experts, Farner routinely fields civil and national security assignments. Numerous plebiscites have been decided in favor of modern national security policy thanks to our agency’s support.

It is a matter of intense pride for all of us to have been chosen to contribute to the management of national militia organizations, including, since 1956, VSWW, the Association for Security Policy and Defense Sciences (www.vsww.ch) and since 1983, AWM, the Union for Efficient and Peace Keeping Armed Forces (www.awm-cmep.ch). Both bodies have been instrumental in persuading voters in favor of fundamental national security issues.
