Cases: The Birgit Nilsson Prize – A celebration of all Agency skill sets
Our commitment to cultural issues and events is unquestioned and if we do say so, we are experienced and, simply put, quite good at executing mandates in this field. After the highly successful Van Gogh exhibition in Basel and the Engadine Opera Festival, we turned to our next major project, the first Birgit Nilsson Prize Award Ceremony in Stockholm. Our range o tasks included communications and media relations, event organization, as well as staging and hospitality work. The Birgit Nilsson Foundation, established by the late soprano and opera diva herself Birgit Nilsson, created the Prize and chose famed tenor Plácido Domingo as its first recipient.

Against a background of stagnating membership, a major Swiss youth movement wished to change to more professional communication, do more membership marketing and update its image. Working closely with a project team of volunteers, we created a national event and numerous decentralized events. We also produced give-aways, posters, flyers and an image booklet – all designed to appeal to young people. Its media work and communication as a whole were given a more professional face. We produced a modular media documentation, taught volunteers where the opportunities lie and trained spokespersons for the movement.

Sprucing up the image of a Swiss youth movement

Creating a teaching aid
One of the country’s leading industry associations asked us to promote work in and of itself and Switzerland as a workplace at national Expo.02. We made the themes, rendered artistically in the organization’s pavilion, more accessible to young people and, as general contractors, oversaw the production of a magazine-like teaching aid in two languages that included a commentary, originals for copying and worksheets. Our efforts helped the industry to be perceived as innovative, promising enticing career opportunities.

Education offensive
The federal government, all the cantons and Swiss businesses embarked on teaching 30,000 teachers the rudiments of IT, and providing them, along with some 4,000 schools, with state-of-the-art IT and communication equipment as well as Internet access. An institution provided a business office. That office needed a communication concept for the multi-year project, to be mounted in cooperation with business partners. We generated a comprehensive, practice-oriented communication concept, helped the business office establish media contacts and provided other resources and know-how whenever needed.
