Rudolf Farner established Switzerland’s first modern-format communications agency in 1951. With Confiserie Sprüngli and drinks brand Coca-Cola in its portfolio, Farner was strongly positioned from the start. It went on to work for brands such as Expo 64, Barbie, McDonald’s, Mitsubishi, the Swiss AIDS Federation and BAKOM, among many others. From the 1990s on, the agency set up teams in Bern, Basel, St.Gallen, Lausanne and Ticino. With six locations across Switzerland it is now the only full service agency with a nationwide presence.
Building on its origins as a public relations and public affairs agency, Farner has gradually expanded its portfolio of services to include corporate communications, brand strategy, digital services and marketing communications. The company has always kept pace with the latest trends and technologies, shaping the face of the communications industry.
Since 2016 various partner agencies have enhanced the expertise Farner provides in Switzerland. By acquiring agencies covering a range of disciplines, Farner has substantially expanded its network. Since 2022 the agency has been developing Team Farner as a leading European consulting and communications group. With comprehensive expertise in every area of modern communications, this network is now perfectly placed to take on the challenges of the future.
