Farner and BlueGlass create a digital Eco-System

The leading communications agency Farner and the established digital marketing agency BlueGlass are merging to create an extensive digital offering for their clients in all communications disciplines. Thereby, the BlueGlass team strengthens the growing group and spurs on Farner’s digital expertise. Raphael Bienz – CEO of BlueGlass – turns Chief Digital Officer of Farner Switzerland and joins Farner’s Management Board.

A year ago, Farner announced its growth strategy for Switzerland and Europe. Farner Switzerland is now laying the foundation for a digital ecosystem with the digital marketing agency BlueGlass. Further digital marketing agencies will join in the coming months to form a leading platform in the Swiss digital market under the Farner brand. The growing team of digital experts provides a digital boost to clients in all integrated communications areas – from public affairs to corporate communications, marketing communications to branding and change.

Merger of experienced digital teams
Founded in 2007, the digital marketing agency BlueGlass offers strategy and implementation for effective online marketing. In this way, the team of 50 members led by Raphael Bienz increases the online presence of its customers in a targeted and sustainable manner. “It’s a great pleasure to be working with BlueGlass to boost our current digital offering to a new level,” says Daniel Jörg, Chief Innovation Officer at Farner. In future, Farner’s digital ecosystem will include these areas:

  • Digital strategy
  • Inbound Marketing, Performance Marketing and Digital Media
  • Digital Customer Experiences: Online-Contents und -presence, Landing Pages und Applications
  • Data & Analytics: tracking, testing as well as analytics-solutions throughout the entire the Customer Journey und all the digital touchpoints

BlueGlass in the Farner Management and Partner Circle
As CDO and member of the Farner Management Board, Raphael Bienz newly leads Farner’s integrated digital offering in Switzerland. “Being part of Team Farner, pushing on the offering from a digital perspective while building a growing ecosystem of digital agencies – this is a new challenge that my team and I are extremely excited about,” says Raphael Bienz. As the former owner of BlueGlass, Raphael Bienz remains invested in Farner. Anna-Lena Wohlschlag (Director Digital Strategy & Projects) and Nicole Treipl (Director SEO & Content Marketing) join the Farner partner circle as long-time management team members and become part of Farner’s senior management. “It’s great to be part of the Farner success story from an entrepreneurial perspective as well, and to set the strategic course together,” explain Anna-Lena Wohlschlag and Nicole Treipl. Experienced digital and media expert Urs Hügli, former CEO and Board member of Homegate and search.ch as well as Chairman of the Board of BlueGlass, among others, will remain with the management team in an advisory role.
